PHYSICIAN INFORMATION
Who will be in your Facility

The technicians that work for Optimum IOM are trained and certified under ABRET guidelines. Optimum CNIMs are experienced with all elective and trauma surgeries. The professionalism and communication the physician requires in a procedure room will be consistent with all Optimum IOM technicians.
What OptimumIOM Does

A well-trained and certified technologist will be using a top-of-the-line computerized system that is specifically designed to perform nerve monitoring for your surgery. Small non-invasive electrodes will be placed over a nerve or muscle area and connected to the Optimum technologists computer. The computer will stimulate the nerves in the specified area of the patient to record the signals in that area. These signals will tell the technologist and ultimately you as the physician how fast your nerves are carrying the signals through the central nervous system of your patient during the surgery.
Will insurance cover IOM?

As the physician, if you determine IONM to be a necessary component of your surgery, these fees will be submitted to the health insurance carrier. In some circumstances, the hospital may have a contractual obligation to pay for this service. All IONM services will be billed out of network. For more information or pricing of services, please contact our office.
